Newport (Wales):Jeev Milkha Singh's one-over 73, which gave him a share of the seventh spot, was the best among the Indians at a drenched Celtic Menor Resort in the yet-to-be-completed penultimate round of the Wales Open golf tournament here.
The start of the third round was delayed by over six hours because of heavy rain that flooded fairways and bunkers and even though golfer were out on the course until 9 pm (local time), not all of them could manage to complete their round.
Jeev's first over-par card of the week left his overall total at three-under 210. The seasoned Chandigarh-pro managed a couple of birdies against four bogeys - three of them in the front nine - in his third round.
Among the other Indians, Shiv Kapur was the next best-placed after Jeev at the tied 33rd spot after carding a 74 which took his two-day total to one-over 214.
Jyoti Randhawa (74) was further down the leader-board at tied 59th with a total of five-over 218.
At the top, it was a three-way tie for the lead with Englishman Nick Dougherty (70), Spaniard Ignacio Garrido (71) and Dane Jeppe Huldahl (68) sharing the spot with totals of five-under 208.
