Abu Dhabi:A flawless Jeev Milkha Singh signed off with his best card of the week to join compatriot Jyoti Randhawa and finish 26th in the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship on Sunday.
Shiv Kapur (286) also produced a blot-free final round of five-under 67, his best of the week, to finish tied 62nd. Overnight tied 39th, Jeev played near-perfect golf today and blasted six birdies - three on each nine - to aggregate 11-under 277 for a share of the 26th place and a cheque of Euro 13,751.
Despite an ominous start to his round in the form of an opening hole bogey, Randhawa was not too bad either. He bogeyed the 13th as well but birdies on the fifth, seventh, eighth, 11th and 18th took care of the rest and the Indian could not be denied a decent finish in the European Tour event.
Like Jeev, Shiv Kapur too managed to keep his card bogey-free and reeled off birdies on the second, fourth, 10th, 13th and 15th to improve his position.
At the top, newly-married Englishman Paul Casey's (267) final round card of 70 helped him survive a late scare to secure the title by a single shot from Louis Oosthuizen (64) and Martin Kaymer (67).
