New Delhi: Gurbani Singh carded two birdies and just one bogey to score a total of 218 to clinch the Usha Northern India Ladies & Junior Golf Championship on Thursday.
She was the only one to card a sub-par round on the day, one under 71. Trailing behind by just two strokes was Ridhima Dilawari who finished with a total score of 220.
Her score at the end of day was one over 73 with a string of three birdies and four bogeys. Gurbani, who tops the current Order of Merit list of the IGU Ladies Amateur Golf Tour repeated her Day one stellar performance to rise up the leaderboard on the final day as well, winning on her home ground.
The third position was snatched by Astha Madan who ended with a final score of 226. Aditi Ashok, Vidushi Sinha and Sifat Alag shared a joint fourth position with a total score of 227.
Other notable names in the top 10 included Tvesa Malik (228), Amandeep Drall and Gaurika Bishnoi (231), who finished at 5th and a joint 6th position respectably. This was the first tournament of the Usha Ladies & Junior Golf Open Championship played over 54 holes, over three days, in stroke pay format.
