No stranger to success on the golf course, Tiger Woods is now bidding to become one of the world's top course designers. The world number one has chosen the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to create his first development. The new complex at 'Dubailand', will include a par-72 championship golf course, a golf academy, clubhouse, a boutique hotel and luxury villas, not to mention a retail complex. "Playing all around the world I get a chance to experience all different types of design philosophies and different grasses and different ways that golf is played around the world, and after ten years of experience on tour, I felt that one day I would like to be given the opportunity within the next few years," said Woods. The project will be a joint venture between Woods' new company 'Tiger Woods Design' and 'Tatweer', a member of the government affiliated 'Dubai Holding'. And for the American superstar, it represents a huge yet exciting challenge. (AP)
