Melbourne: Second round leader Paul Casey of England heard some big footprints on Saturday: first Ernie Els, then Nick Faldo. By the end of the third round at the Heineken Classic, Casey was out of the lead and six-time major winner Faldo's 7-under 65 put him atop the leaderboard going into Sunday's final round at Royal Melbourne. Faldo's 11-under-par total of 205 gave him a one-shot lead over Casey, who shot a 2-over 74 today; Australian Peter Lonard, who carded a 67; and Niclas Fasth of Sweden, who shot a 68. England's Steve Webster (70) and David Lynn (73) were in fifth place, two shots behind at 207. Els, going after his third win of the year, had a 66 and was tied for seventh at three shots off the lead at 8-under 208 with New Zealander David Smail (69). (AP)
