Celadna, Czech Republic:

Shiv Kapur put up an improved show while Jyoti Randhawa also made the cut despite an over-par card but SSP Chowrasia retired midway through the second round of the Moravia Silesia Open golf tournament here.

After an ordinary first round, Kapur made amends as he sank six birdies en route to a five-under 67 card to be tied 23rd at the Prosper Golf Resort.

His front nine was studded with five birdies while a bogey on the 12th hole was the only blot on his impressive card.

Randhawa, who had an even par first round card, could not better his performance and settled for a one-over card to be tied 56th.

The Delhi-pro managed four birdies against a couple of bogeys and a double bogey.

Chowrasia could not complete his second round as he retired after the seventh hole, on which he stumbled to a double bogey.
