Speaking ahead of Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix, Ferrari's Head of Aerodynamics John Iley described how the Ferrari technical team were preparing for the specific challenge that the Shanghai International Circuit represents, while also admitting that the winners of this year's F1 constructors' world championship were now already fully committed to developing the model for 2008.
In the Formula One drivers' standings, British rookie sensation Lewis Hamilton leads McLaren team-mate and defending world champion Fernando Alonso by 12 points - and can clinch the world title in Shanghai this weekend - while Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen lies in third, 17 points adrift.
It has been an interesting year in Formula One - and as the build-up to next Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix continues, Ferrari's Head of Aerodynamics was speaking at the team's base at Maranello, near Milan on Tuesday.
John Iley described how the Ferrari technical team were confidently preparing for the specific challenge that the Shanghai International Circuit represents.
The famous Italian outfit are already the winners of this year's F1 constructors' world championship - after the outcome of the spy scandal hearing at the FIA headquarters in Paris when rivals McLaren were stripped of all their points with regards to the manufacturers' standings.
Iley also admitted that Ferrari were now already fully committed to developing the model for 2008.

Raikkonen and team-mate Felipe Massa, who is another 10 points behind Hamilton, have vowed to make it as hard as possible for the rookie to win the Formula One world title.
They know that Hamilton is all but assured of the world title going into Sunday's penultimate round in China, but they want to make life difficult by winning in both Shanghai and in the final race in Brazil.
After the latest comments from Ferrari's president Luca di Montezemolo, who said that Hamilton owes his team a 'debt of thanks' after that spy scandal hearing when McLaren were also fined 50 million pounds, that comes as no surprise.
