New Delhi:
Narain Karthikeyan's impressive debut in Formula 1, which saw him finish 17th and 11th in his first two races, is a huge boost for motorsports in India. The racing sensation was in New Delhi today to meet the media and some future champions, who are hoping to follow in his footsteps. Among them were Karun Chandhok, who is currently competing in the world series, 15-year-old Armaan Ibrahim at the Formula BMW Asia circuit and 10-year-old Parth Ghorpade, a multiple karting winner from Kolhapur. Delighted to be the trendsetter for India in the world of motersports, Karthikeyan is happy that he has converted into possible what many felt was impossible. With Jordan technically being one of the weakest teams in the sport, Narain has set himself some realistic goals and is right now aiming at finishing the races if not scoring any points.Topics mentioned in this article
