Asian Formula 2000 champion Karun Chandok became the first Indian to grab a podium finish at the Macau Grand Prix this morning, when he finished third after starting from seventh spot on the grid. Ending his Formula 2000 career on a glorious note, 17-year-old Chandok clocked 25 mins 57.668 secs at the 48th edition of the event, behind favourites Philippe Descombes of France and Jim Kato of Hong Kong. He will be driving in Formula 3 for Carlin Motorsport on March 31 at Brands Hatch. (PTI)
