There were a number of chances for Bayern. Peter Cech (right) was repeatedly bombarded but most of the shots went towards either side of the goal-posts.
There was a lot of tussle but Bayern managed to put Chelsea's defence to the test. The visitors absorbed the pressure well on most occasions. When they couldn't Bayern missed.
Thomas Muller (right) was marked well for most parts but the Bayern player managed to find the back of the net to put his team ahead.
It was Drogba who brought his team back in the dying minutes of regulation time with a strike that ensured extra-time.
