AC Milan has made Real Madrid an offer for Ronaldo. "We are sending an offer for Ronaldo. We are shopping so we'll see, Milan vice president Adriano Galliani said on Thursday. "I want to thank (Real) president Ramon Calderon for having offered us this possibility. If all goes well as I hope, Ronaldo will become a Milan player," Galliani said. Galliani and Madrid official Franco Baldini reached a verbal agreement for the Brazil forward late Wednesday for nearly $9 million, news agency ANSA reported. "We are still waiting for a written offer from Milan. If it arrives in the morning and is considered reasonable, Ronaldo could leave for Milan today," Baldini was quoted as saying. Spanish news agency Efe said Ronaldo was at Madrid's training in the morning, and showed no sign his transfer was imminent. It added that the 30-year-old Brazil striker did not bid his teammates farewell or collect his belongings. The forward, who hasn't been picked for Madrid since the January 7 defeat at Deportivo La Coruna, said on Monday his difficulties with coach Fabio Capello seem set to force him out of the club. A move to Milan would take Ronaldo back to the city where he spent five years with rival Inter Milan. He joined Madrid in 2002, winning the Spanish league at the end of his first season, his last major title.
