Two goals in the last two minutes gave Metz a shock 3-1 win at Olympic Marseille on Saturday - a result which took the visitors to the top of Ligue 1. After Herve Tum had given Metz an early lead, Peguy Luyindula equalised for Marseille - but injury time goals by Stephane Borbiconi and another from Tum meant Metz took all three points. Olympic Marseille hosted Metz on Saturday and, with both teams unbeaten this season, it promised to be a close-fought encounter. The visitors took the lead in the 21st minute - Herve Tum heading home from Franck Ribery's free-kick. But the hosts equalised 15 minutes later when Steve Marlet's neatly cushioned header into the area found Peguy Luyindula, who stabbed the ball past Gregory Wimbee. The action swung to and fro for most of the rest of the game, although Marseille missed a couple of glorious chances to wrap up victory. Then, from a corner in the final minute, Stephane Borbiconi beat Fabien Barthez at the near post and a shock was on the cards. That shock became a certainty in injury time when Marseille, pressing urgently for an equaliser, were caught out on the break. Franck Ribery picked the ball up on the edge of his own penalty area and then ran to the edge of Marseille's. His centre found Tum, who controlled the ball and rifled it past Barthez. So 3-1 the final score and Metz go top of Ligue 1 - Marseille drop to eighth. (AP)
