Fabio Capello Trims Russia World Cup Squad to 25
Russia's final 23-man squad will be named on June 2, ten days before the tournament in Brazil gets underway.

Russia national team coach Fabio Capello on Friday trimmed his provisional World Cup squad down to 25 players from the original 30 named earlier this week.
Defenders Alexander Anyukov and Alexei Berezutsky, midfielders Yury Gazinsky and Vladimir Bystrov and forward Artem Dzyuba were moved to the standby list by Capello.
The Italian has also called up Sevilla forward Denis Cheryshev, who won the Europa League with the Spanish side earlier this week, instead of veteran striker Pavel Pogrebnyak.

Capello's side have been drawn in Group H along with South Korea, Belgium and Algeria as they make their first appearance at the finals in 12 years.
