South Africa will on Saturday learn if they have won the right to host the 2010 soccer World Cup. The country is the front-runner in a race exclusive to African nations, after FIFA's decision to give the World Cup to each of its confederations in turn. After South Africa lost out by just one vote to Germany in the right to host the 2006 tournament, many neutrals feel they should win this time around. Mandela, Theron in Zurich On Saturday four years of campaigning will come to an end as FIFA announce the winners from Zurich. Former President Nelson Mandela has come out in full support of the South African bid. And Mandela, along with Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron, will be in Zurich as the decision is announced. Although there has been strong competition from the north African countries of Morocco and Egypt, general consensus is that South Africa is the true African choice.
