Parma:
Italian striker Bernardo Corradi agreed to one-season loan with Parma on Saturday and was expected to sign with the Serie A club next week, the Italian club said, returning to his native country after a season with Spain's Valencia. "It was a long, difficult negotiation. The signing of the contract is expected for Monday when the player could begin training with Parma,'' club technical director Oreste Cinquini said on Saturday. Corradi, 29, played with Cagliari, Chievo Verona and Lazio before moving to Valencia in 2004. Parma, which escaped relegation in a playoff with Bologna last June, transferred top striker Alberto Gilardino to AC Milan for $29.7 million. (AP)Topics mentioned in this article
