London:Sour from the defeat in the quarterfinal of the Euro 2004, England's team has blasted Swiss referee Urs Meir for disallowing a Campbell goal against Portugal that would have given them a 2-1 lead in the 89th minute. However the disallowed goal did make history for bookmakers with William Hill saying they will pay punters who bet on Campbell scoring the winning goal, even though the goal didn't stand. Meanwhile, England manager Sven Goran Eriksson said captain David Beckham is personally taking on the blame for what was his third penalty miss in a row. It was also the fourth time since 1990 that England were knocked out of either the World Cup or the Euro championships on penalties. Later David Beckham said he was not going to quit as England captain.
