Sydney:
Football Federation Australia has banned an Adelaide United fan from A-League matches for two years because he racially abused former Barbados striker Paul Ifill.
The FFA said the unnamed fan breached the spectator code of conduct by hurling racial insults at Ifill during a recent A-League match between Adelaide and Ifill's Wellington Phoenix.
Adelaide United said it had also cancelled the man's club membership.
South Australia police and league officials launched an investigation after Ifill mentioned the abuse on Twitter.
