Asian Cup: Iraq beat Vietnam 2-0
Two goals from skipper Younes Khalef pushed Iraq past Vietnam 2-0 in Bangkok and into their first Asian Cup semi-final since 1976.

Two goals from skipper Younis Mahmoud saw them blank Vietnam and reach the last four for the first time since 1976.
Both Iraqi goals came through set-pieces and though Vietnam had their chances, a brilliant free-kick sealed the Iraqi victory.
The football team is celebrated as national heroes and had stunned the world, reaching the semis at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
In the other quarterfinal on Saturday, Japan beat Australia 4-3 on penalties, following a 1-1 tie at extra time.
