Paris:  Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has jokingly branded Cristiano Ronaldo a "weak player" after being asked to comment on speculation linking his club with a move for the Real Madrid superstar.

Saturday's edition of French sports newspaper L'Equipe speculated that PSG were preparing a huge bid for the Portuguese forward, but Ancelotti batted away a question about the possibility of seeing Ronaldo arrive at Parc des Princes.

"No, I'm not confirming it," he said at a press conference on Saturday.

Asked if Ronaldo was a player he liked, he joked: "Cristiano Ronaldo? No, no. I don't like Ronaldo. He's a weak player, a poor player. He has no feeling in front of goal. He doesn't score enough goals."

Since arriving from Manchester United in 2009, Ronaldo has scored 158 goals in 154 matches for Madrid.

Ancelotti also admitted that his side will be under more pressure to win Sunday's 'Classique' at arch rivals Marseille than in any other game this season.

"There's pressure. Everyone wants to watch the match, the supporters want to win it. So there's more pressure than in other matches," he said.

Ancelotti said that the games between France's two best-supported clubs were comparable to the Milan derby -- in which he competed as both a player and a coach with AC Milan -- in terms of "atmosphere and feeling".

"We're excited," added the Italian.

"If we win, we go top. It's important. But the season is still long. The Porto match (a 1-0 defeat in the Champions League on Wednesday) is over. We're focusing on the match on Sunday."
