Paris St Germain (PSG) were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Toulouse in the French Championnat on Saturday. Toulouse's unbeaten run stretches to nine games and PSG's to seven, but the result did little to help either side's European ambitions. The Parisians started well and after just nine minutes, Charles-Edouard Coiridon picked out Fabrice Pancrate in front of the goal. But former PSG 'keeper Christophe Revault made a superb block. Goal denied It proved to be the best chance of the opening half. But eight minutes after the restart, PSG were awarded a penalty when Brazilian striker Reinaldo was brought down by Toulouse's teenage right-back Daniel Congre. The league's top scorer Pauleta stepped up to take it, but Revault denied the Portuguese marksman a 10th goal of the season. Toulouse's best chance came when Thibault Giresse fired in a cross with 20 minutes to go, but teammate Benjamin Psaume could not convert. Missed chance Even the loss of Albanian midfielder Lorik Cana to a second yellow card hardly affected PSG's momentum. Pauleta should have wrapped up the points with eight minutes to go but somehow missed one of the best chances he'll get all season. It ended 0-0 as Toulouse go up to fifth, with PSG ninth. But the top four all won. So, the draw did neither Toulouse nor PSG any good, as they both lose ground on the French league's European places. (AP)
