Soccer star David Beckham says he wants to buy a team in the American MLS league.
The LA Galaxy star, who is still not considering being a coach for the Hibernian club, is said to have an option of buying a franchise in the States as part of the contract package, which first enticed him to play across the Pond, reported Sun online.
"It's something I am interested in because I am invested in this league. Owning a team interests me more than being a coach," he said.
Beckham, 36, who is a British soccer player, has captained England's national team from 2000 to 2006.
He played for Manchester United and Spain's Real Madrid before moving to LA to join the Galaxy in 2007.
Beckham, who recently became a father for the fourth time, has twice been runner-up for FIFA World Player of the Year and in 2004 was the world's highest-paid footballer when taking into account salary and advertising deals.
