Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has vowed to take the club to a Champions League win in the forthcoming season.
The Portuguese, who took over as the Blues boss last month, said it would be a big task but he was confident that he can succeed where others before him have failed.
"In the next years, for sure, the trophy will arrive in this club. Chelsea have been in a couple of semi-finals and also one final in recent times. I don't see why we can't go on to win it," The Sun quoted Villas-Boas as saying.
Andre said high standards are expected of him.
"Any person who sits on the manager's job at Chelsea is expected to win. I cannot run away from that. As long as people are able to perform in training and to a level of performance that is high, I don't see why it shouldn't happen. The most important thing for a leader is to be coherent in the decisions that he takes and it's a principle I cannot let go," he said.
