They beat Turkey's Fenerbahge 1-0 in the first leg of their third leg qualifying game. Another 11 more Champions League qualifiers will be played later tonight. Manchester United will also be in action. Feyenoord began their Champions League campaign against Turkish League runners-up Fenerbahge at the De Kuip Stadium. Bonaventure Kalou burst through on the right-hand side of the box only to square the ball across the face of goal to no one. Haim Revivo's free kick was saved by Feyenoord keeper Edwin Zoetebier with routine ease. The tempestuous atmosphere reached a peak when Miroslav Stevic lashed a spiteful kick out at Kalou, but neither player was booked. Wingback Brett Emerton came the closest yet to breaking the deadlock. And just when Feyenoord was beginning to run out of ideas, Shinji Ono conjured a goal out of nothing. After coming on a substitute, Ariel Ortega was straight into the action, teeing up Haim Revivo for a powerful shot that Zoetebier did well to parry. Kalou latched onto a flicked header but Rustu came to his side's rescue with a fine save.
