Wednesday night is the last round of Champions League games before a three-month winter break. It's a big night for Manchester United who play against Boavista amidst a host of problems. Wes Brown may be injured for the rest of the season and there are indications that Sir Alex Ferguson might even leave out David Beckham in an effort to turnaround his team's fortunes. Manchester United suffered their fifth loss in the English Premier league over the weekend, in what has been their worst start to a season since the premiership began. In the Champions League their form has been somewhat better. They held defending champions Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw on match day seven. They face Portuguese champions Boavista on Wednesday night in a must win situation. Liverpool versus AS Roma Premiership leaders Liverpool seem to be on a roll, even without manager Gerrad Houllier. But their second phase campaign did not get off to the best start, as they were beaten 3-1 by Catalan giants Barcelona at Anfield. Liverpool now travel to Rome to take on Italian champions AS Roma in a crucial tie. The hosts will be looking for revenge after they lost to the Reds in the UEFA Cup last season. Barcelona face Galatasaray Barcelona have seen their form dip after a convincing win over Liverpool on match day seven. They have lost two consecutive matches in the Spanish League. They will be hoping they can consolidate their place as group B leaders with a win at home over Turkish side Galatasaray. The former UEFA cup holders were held to a 1-1 all draw at home against AS Roma. They are the league leaders in Turkey and they will be hoping to justify that billing.
