Like Euro 2008 co-hosted by Austria and Switzerland which had their twins Trix and Flix, the 2012 mascot also features footballing brothers, each wearing a jersey in the co-hosts' national colours, white and red for Poland and blue and yellow for Ukraine.
The Euro 2012 mascots are called Slavek and Slavko, chosen after the results of a poll of around 40,000 people. Inspired by Polish and Ukrainian surnames, Slavek and Slavko were chosen ahead of Siemko & Strimko and Klemek & Ladko after receiving 56% of the votes on UEFA's official website www.uefa.com.
Warner Bros. have designed the mascots, for the fourth consecutive championships.
