The Euro 2012 logo depicts the stalk of a flower with three branches. A ball is depicted as the central flower, with the left flower being red and white (the colours of co-host Poland's flag) and the right flower yellow and blue (the colours of co-host Ukraine's flag).

Like Euro 2008 co-hosted by Austria and Switzerland which had their twins Trix and Flix, the 2012 mascot also features footballing brothers, each wearing a jersey in the co-hosts' national colours, white and red for Poland and blue and yellow for Ukraine.

Contested every four years, the UEFA European Championship was first held as the UEFA European Nations Cup in 1960 before changing to its current name in 1968. The Euro 2012 is the 14th edition of the tournament and will be held in Poland and Ukraine from June 8 to July 1, 2012. It is the third time that the tournament is being jointly hosted by two countries (after Belgium/Netherlands in 2000 and Austria/Switzerland in 2008).
