Sohail Khan Profile

Sohail Khan, popularly known as Sohail Pathan is one of the many Pakistani cricketers who have benefited tremendously from the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy. A raw talent at first sight, Sohail was picked by Latif when he was spotted playing club cricket, and intense training displayed excellent results for the talented bowler in domestic cricket.

Having moved to Karachi from his native Malakand, Sohail made his first-class debut in the 2007-08 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and impressed instantly in his first match, picking a ten-wicket haul. His talent became clearly evident in the finals of the competition, after he went on to break the record for the best bowling figures by a Pakistani in a first-class game (16/189), previously held by Fazal Mahmood (15/76). Immediately, Sohail was given his maiden international cap against Zimbabwe in an ODI in 2008. The following year, he debuted in Tests against Sri Lanka.
