Now that was mammoth. But what is fascinating was the way that it came -- in 304 balls, that had 42 boundaries 5 sixes. South Africa had posted a solid 540 with a fine century from Hashim Amla. It wasn't a knock that had Sehwag's way of playing written all over it, but nonetheless, was very important one. With Steve Harmison and Mathew Hoggard making the ball talk, India were hit hard right at the start, until Sehwag and Sourav Ganguly gave the Indian innings some life.

Everyone knew Sehwag could get a triple hundred, only if he controlled with 'natural way' of hitting. He didn't, and that's probably the reasonw hy he became the first Indian triple centurion. Cream on the cake -- it came against Pakistan, in Pakistan. Sachin Tendulkar was there with Sehwag in his moment of glory.
