AB de Villiers scored 115 from 102 balls with ten boundaries and three sixes to power South Africa to 268/7.
Opener Quinton de Kock - who had scored his maiden century in the previous encounter - also played well for his 34 which had five fours.
Pakistan's reply was given a respectable look by Sohaib Maqsood who slammed a fifty again. The team however failed.
Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq had earlier blamed batsmen for the string of defeats but he himself could not stage a rescue act after Maqsood's 53.
Misbah scored 18.
Pakistan's innings folded on a paltry 151, ensuring that South Africa took not just the trophy but the extreme satisfaction of having walloped the opposition.
