The sixth edition of the Indian Premier League will see some of the big names continuing to lend their repute to the tournament.
Some others however will not be part of the event or at least will not play for the teams they were part of and will hope to be bought by other teams.
Here is a brief roundup of the team list submitted by the franchises to the BCCI.
Sourav Ganguly had already declared that he won't play in IPL 6. Though the news came as a shock to his fans, his decision was firm.
The Pune Warriors India released New Zealand's Jesse Ryder. He hasn't played a single competitive match after the last edition of IPL and will now go back to the auction pool.
Ghulam Bodi showed some fine performances during the Champions League T20 tournament. The South African however has been released by Delhi Daredevils.
The Daredevils however have a surplus of sorts as far as big foreign names are concerned. Mahela Jayawardene, Kevin Pietersen, Morne Morkel, David Warner, Andre Russell and Ross Taylor have been retained.
There were some isolated reports that the franchise may release Harbhajan Singh (left). NDTV however had learnt from sources that he wouldn't be. And he was not!
Stuart Broad's IPL debut though has been extended further as Kings XI Punjab released him as he was expected to be on national duty for most parts of the next IPL edition.
