Sunil Gavaskar led a team of top-performing Indians at the Board of Control for Cricket in India's annual awards ceremony.
The former cricketer was honoured with the Col. C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Indian cricket. A look at him and the others who were honoured.
Gavaskar becomes part of a prestigious list of cricketers who have been honoured with the award, including Lala Amarnath, Syed Mushtaq Ali, Syed Mushtaq Ali and Polly Umrigar.
VVS Laxman was also honoured by the BCCI. The veteran batsman retired this year and was honoured for his immense contribution to Indian cricket.
Virat Kohli was presented with the Polly Umrigar Award for being India's top-cricketer in the 2011-12 season.
Lala Amarnath award for the best all-rounder in domestic limited overs was presented to Laxmi Ratan Shukla.
Ashok Dinda was presented with the Madhavrao Scindia award for highest wicket taker in the Ranji trophy in 2011-12.
The other players who found themselves on the podium were Stuart Binny (Lala Amarnath award for the best all-rounder in the Ranji trophy, 2011-12), Robin Bist (Madhavrao Scindia award for highest scorer in the Ranji trophy in 2011-12) and S Ravi (Best umpire in domestic cricket in 2011-12).
