Karachi: In a big setback to the Pakistan cricket team in-form all-rounder Shahid Afridi has been rendered a doubtful starter for Sunday's fifth and final one-dayer against Australia.Pakistan manager Yawar Saeed said that Afridi had undergone MRI scans and the reports were awaited.
"But he is in pain and it seems unlikely he will be able to play. He has strained his calf muscle during the fourth one-dayer on Friday," he said.
Pakistan, who have already lost the series, desperately need a win to at least ensure a respectable scoreline of 2-3 in the five-match series.
Afridi has been Pakistan's best player in the series averaging 27 with the bat and having taken 10 wickets, the highest by any bowler in the series.

With 21 wickets in his first 12 matches at an economy rate of well under six, Sunil Narine has been Kolkata's main-man with the ball.
