New Delhi: Former India skipper and left-hand batsman Sourav Ganguly was on Monday left out of the Rest of India squad for the Irani Trophy. All-rounder Yuvraj Sing too was excluded from the squad.Anil Kumble was named captain of the team. The Rest of India squad will take on Ranji Trophy champions Delhi in the September 24-28 Irani Cup tie in Vadodara.
A fit-again Sachin Tendulkar is all set to get back into his groove after a poor run with the bat in the three-Test series against Sri Lanka by taking part in the Irani Trophy.
Fast bowler Ishant Sharma was cleared to play in the Australia series by the National Cricket Academy (NCA) physio Paul Close.
