New Delhi: Australian spinner Nathan Lyon feels sticking to basics has helped him and plans to keep his game simple ahead of his team's final Test against India at Adelaide.

In a report published in Sydney Morning Herald, Lyon was quoted as saying that he will just stick to bowling his usual off-breaks. "My ability is to hang the ball in the air and get some drop and drift on it so I'm not worried about the doosra or Sudoku ball or anything like that. I'll just stick with my offies," he said.

The hosts had picked an all-pace attack at the WACA but are likely to get Lyon back for the final Test, with the series already decided 3-0 in their favour. The 24-year-old feels he is ready for the challenge having been kept off the playing XI. "A couple of days off there missing out on the Test in Perth was a great opportunity for me to work on my bowling, batting and fielding," he said.

It was previously reported that Lyon had sought advice from legendary spinner Shane Warne and had received tips. With Australia looking at inflicting a whitewash, Lyon seems to have his strategies set, simple and short.
