Mohali: The Indian team management took a sigh of relief on Monday after openers Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag were cleared to play in the fourth ODI against Australia in Mohali. The opening pair of Team India had sustained injuries during the third ODI in New Delhi on Saturday.
Both underwent fitness test today at the PCA Stadium and while Sehwag was all right, the Indian team management is perhaps taking a chance with Gambhir, because he was extremely uncomfortable with throwing and had an ice pack on his shoulder.
Wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik, however, had been roped in as a cover.
India will dethrone Australia from the number one spot in the ICC rankings if they win the fourth ODI today. India lead the seven-match series 2-1.

Shane Watson became the leading run-scorer for the Royals, surpassing Yusuf Pathan's tally of 1,011 runs.
