Melbourne: Troubled Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds got a glimpse of his head for the first time in five years after he got his famous locks chopped off on live television to raise money for leukemia patients.Symonds's live session with the barber yesterday raised 10,000 dollars for the Leukemia Foundation of Australia, 'The Herald Sun' reported.
The burly all-rounder's agent Matt Fearon said Symonds had not "seen his own head for about five years" and before hair-cut had "the normal nerves about a new look".
The 33-year-old, who has been dumped from the Australian team after a series of drunken misdemeanors, recently patched-up with his girlfriend Katie Johnson.
For the first time in the history of ODIs, two double centurions - Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag - have opened an innings.
