Dhaka:Bangladesh spinner Abdur Razzak will be able to return to top-level cricket after his bowling action was cleared by the International Cricket Council.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board said on Thursday that it had been notified the left-arm spinner can return to the international game.
Razzak was suspended in November 2008 for a suspect bowling action. His action was scrutinized in testing at the Australian Institute of Sport on Feb. 23 to determine the degree to which his arm bends and straightens.
"The ICC has informed the BCB that Razzak's bowling technique has changed to the extent that both his stock delivery and faster ball are now within the ICC tolerance level of 15 degrees and his action was now legal," the statement said.
A bowling action which employs too much of a change in degree is regarded as an illegal delivery.
