Karachi:
More than a dozen players including prolific batsman Mohammed Yusuf defected to the rebel league, draining resources of the Pakistan cricket team.
"This issue is more important for Pakistan because it has lost the most current players to the ICL. So they need to find a solution to the issue," Cork, who is here as a commentator for the ongoing Test series against Sri Lanka, said.
Cork strongly believes return of some players, aligned with the ICL, will help the team become strong again.
The former England player also urged International Cricket Council to bring foreign teams to Pakistan.
"I, as a cricketer, would hope that the ICC get together with Australia, England and South Africa and try and entice people to come back to Pakistan.
"I am sure if the ICC helps, the likes of Australia, England and India would come back and play here because people of Pakistan love their cricket.
Pakistan cricket has been hit hard by cancellations and postponements by foreign teams' tours.
They were most affected when India pulled out of its Test tour in December because of strained relations between the two countries due to Mumbai terror strikes in November.
