Statistical highlights of the first one-day international between India and Sri Lanka on Wednesday.

  • India registered their second win against Sri Lanka in six games at Dambulla.

    Sanath Jayasuriya became the second man, after Sachin Tendulkar, to score 13,000 runs in ODIs when he steered Ishant in the 14th over for his 37th run.

    Jayasuriya recorded the 28th ODI hundred and 7th vs India

    At 39 years and 212 days, Jayasuriya also became the oldest cricket to score an ODI century. Geoff Boycott held the previous record for scoring 105 against Australia in 1979 when he was 39 years and 51 days old.

  • Thilan Thushara passed 1000 runs in List A matches when he reached 9.

  • Sanath Jayasuriya, with his first hundred at Dambulla, has extended his ODI record for most hundreds against India in ODIs to 7. He has thus equalled Sachin Tendulkar's tally of most hundreds in India-Sri Lanka ODIs.

  • Jayasuriya's 107 is now the highest individual score by any batsman at Dambulla. The only other batsman to post a hundred at this venue is India's Rahul Dravid - 104 against UAE on July 16, 2004.

  • In his last 13 innings, Jayawardene is without a fifty. His sequence of scores being 16, 12, 15, 4, 0, 0, 0, 28, 0, 1, 24, 18 & 11.

  • Raina's fourth fifty (54 off 71 balls) against Sri Lanka is his 9th in ODIs.

  • Yuvraj Singh is without a fifty in his last nine innings against Sri Lanka.

  • Gautam Gambhir's wicket was Muralitharan's 70th against India in 58 ODIs, emulating Chaminda Vaas' tally.

  • Both Vaas and Muralitharan now share an ODI record for most wickets against India.

  • Dhoni registered his 26th fifty in ODIs.
