Following are the statistical highlights of the first one-day international between India and England at the Madhavrao Scindia stadium on Friday.

  • Yuvraj's 64-ball hundred is the second fastest for India in Limited-Overs Internationals -- the fastest being Mohammad Azharuddin's 62-ball hundred against visiting New Zealand at Vadadora on December 17, 1988.

  • Yuvraj recorded his 9th century in ODIs -- his second against England.

  • Yuvraj's unbeaten 138 is his second highest score in limited-overs internationals -- his highest being 139 balls against Australia at SCG on January 22, 2004.

  • Yuvraj's innings is the highest for India against England, bettering Navjot Singh Sidhu's unbeaten 134 at Gwalior on March 4, 1993.

  • The 64-ball hundred by Yuvraj Singh is the fastest by any player against England in ODIs, eclipsing the 72-ball century by Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya at Leeds on July 1, 2006.

  • Yuvraj is the first Indian player to post six sixes in an innings against England in ODIs.

  • Yuvraj's outstanding knock is the highest at Rajkot, bettering Nathan Astle's 120 for New Zealand against India on November 5, 1999.

  • India recorded their biggest win by runs margin (158 runs) against England in ODIs, bettering their 86-run triumph at Sydney on February 26, 1985.

  • India's total of 387 for five is their second best in ODIs -- the highest being 413 for 5 against Bermuda at Port of Spain on March 19, 2007.

  • India's total of 387 for five is now the highest ever total in India, surpassing their 376 for five against New Zealand at Hyderabad on November 8, 1999.

  • India recorded the first ever total of 350-plus at Rajkot, outstripping New Zealand's 349 for 9 against India on November 5, 1999.

  • India's aforesaid total is their first ever total of 300-plus against England in India, eclipsing their 294 for 6 off 50 overs at Goa on April 3, 2006.

  • Gautam Gambhir became the 19th Indian to complete his 2,000 runs during his innings of 51 off 63 balls and became the 19th Indian to accomplish the feat -- 2038 (average 37.05) in 61 ODIs.

  • Gambhir has equalled his highest against England. He had recorded 51 at Headingley on September 2, 2007. His second fifty against England is his 12th in ODIs.

  • Sehwag's 85 off 73 balls is his fourth fifty against England, his 30th in limited-overs internationals.

  • Sehwag's aforesaid knock is his highest against England in India, bettering his 82 off 62 balls at Kanpur on January 28, 2002.

  • Sehwag and Gambhir put on 127 for the first wicket, which is their first century partnership for the first wicket on Indian soil -- their third overall for the first wicket.

  • 616 runs for the loss of 15 wickets were recorded in the Rajkot ODI -- India 387/5 + England 229 -- a record for the highest match aggregate between India and England in India and their fourth best overall.
