New Delhi:

The Australian cricket team, which suffered a humiliating 320-run defeat against India in Mohali, arrived in Delhi on Wednesday for the third Test beginning later in the month.

Soon after landing here, Ricky Ponting's men checked into a hotel here and were accorded a traditional welcome by the staff.

The world champions, who are trailing 0-1 in the four-match series, will take a day off tomorrow before training from Friday at the Feroze Shah Kotla where the third Test will be played from October 29.

The victorious Indians have also got a break and will re-assemble in the capital on October 26 to prepare for the potentially series deciding match.

The fourth and final match of the series will be played in Nagpur from November 6 to 10.
