Karachi:
Faisal, a Test regular, will lead a team that includes youngsters Waqas Ahmed, Raheel Majeed, Anwar Ali, Mohammad Talah, Kamran Younis and Mohammad Salman in the event to be held on November 8and 9.
Pakistan is placed in the 'Bradman' group with India, England and South Africa.
The rival 'Sobers' group includes defending champions Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand and an All-stars team that features some players from New Zealand, England and West Indies.
Faisal, nephew of former Test captain Javed Miandad, is back in favour with the board and selectors despite facing an inquiry few months back for having played with Indian Cricket League players in a Twenty20 tournament in Florida in May.
The board later cleared Faisal of any intentional violation of players code of conduct but he had to suffer the ignominy of being sidelined from the list of probables picked for the now-postponed Champions Trophy.
