Karachi:
Lorgat was in Edinburg on Sunday with other ICC officials to meet English cricket officials and players to brief them on the security arrangements being put in place by Pakistan for the Champions Trophy.
Lorgat is expected to address a press conference at the Lord's after meetings with South African officials and players as well in which he will probably announce whether the tournament will stay in Pakistan or not.
"These are the final efforts being made by the ICC to convince the teams who are not happy with the security situation in Pakistan that everything is in order in Pakistan," said a Pakistan Cricket Board source.
Australia, New Zealand, England and South Africa are the countries whose players are reluctant to play in Pakistan.
Australia and New Zealand have not changed their stance even after briefings by the ICC task force that visited Pakistan last week.
"It is a dicey situation for the ICC as some countries are citing advice from their foreign offices not to travel to Pakistan at this stage due to increasing threats from Taliban. In this scenario there is nothing much the ICC can do to force them to change their minds," the PCB source said.
Meanwhile, an ICC delegation is reaching Lahore tomorrow on a week-long visit to look into marketing and media issues.
"At the moment Pakistan is confirmed as the host for the tournament so we are carrying out all arrangements and preparations accordingly," he said.
