Harbhajan asked to attend camp

Harbhajan Singh, who has served out a five-match ODI ban for slapping S Sreesanth during the Indian Premier League, which concluded on June 1, is amongst nine players who have been called for a six-day camp starting at Bangalore on Tuesday.

"Nine test players have been called for a fitness specific camp at the Bangalore from Tuesday," informed BCCI's Cricket Operations Manager Suru Nayak.

The players being called to the camp are Anil Kumble (Test captain), Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Harbhajan Singh, Mohammed Kaif, Wasim Jaffer, Akash Chopra, Zaheer Khan and Ramesh Powar.

"The camp will run for six days," Nayak said.

According to Nayak, master batsman Sachin Tendulkar and Saurav Ganguly will not be attending the camp as they are away in England.
