Both Harbhajan and Sreeshant should be punished for bring disrepute to the game.Harbhajans actions are regretable while Sreeshant if allowed to go scot free will become next bad boy of Indian cricket.

By H. Sathya-Monday, April 28, 2008
IPL should take a very strong action against Harbajan and prove that arrogance is entirely different than being aggressive. Sreeshant should also be warned for the infield act.

By D.Epiphany Pusharaj Vincent-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Harbajan Singh must be banned from the cricket profession itself , Bajji himself acted liked teasing others in Australia tour.He is more emotional minded man and has no self control in him.

By biju-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Hope he is banned for life from Cricket

By Gautam-Sunday, April 27, 2008
He deserves to be banned from IPL completely. There are plenty of others who can replace him.

By michelle-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Harbhajan's mother should take him and give him a good whipping on his backside. He has put us all Indians to shame.

By Rohit-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Harbhajan should be banned for life. If such criminial behaviour does not get adequately punished it shall make indian cricket a playground of goons/criminals.

By Niraj Kanojia-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Shame on a player like Harbhajan. How dare he even touches Sreesanth. According to me Harbhajan did not even deserve to be the captain of the Mumbai Indians. He should be punished severely. Thank god finally Preity zinta also opened her mouth against Harbhajan. If BCCI wants to prove that it does not play politics, they should just Ban him.

By Omar-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Cricket was always a gentleman's game, not hooligan's. Unless there is complete and firm censure of all so called gamesmanship, intimidatory glances and abusive language, things will only deteriorate further and the day is not far when rival players will start physical brawls on the field, and then we might as well call it Cricket WWE. After all, so much has changed in recent times, why not mix WWE with Cricket and sell the TV rights for even higher price.

By FRANCO-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Harbajan's action is a direct attack on our Indian sporting sprite. He may be a gifted bowler, but most of all he represents our country's game sprite. We make so much of noise on cheer girls who we believe has hampered our cultural reputation...what have we got to say on this barbaric behavior of M. Harbajan. My verdict to him is he must be banned for life; so that we may not see another Hurbajan sprouting out like poisons weed in our cricket field. FRANCO.

By VIPIN-Sunday, April 27, 2008
What has happened is past and Harbhajan singh has apologised to Sreesanth as well. Now we should move forward and concentrate on cricket.

By VINU.T.P-Sunday, April 27, 2008

By allam-Sunday, April 27, 2008
I agreed, also sreesanth should be warned by BCCI for misbehaviour

By Priya-Sunday, April 27, 2008
I dont think this man has any class and worthy of being a cricketer of international stature. He really needs some help in anger management. And the BCCI is doing no good in supporting him time and again. He needs to be banned from IPL for this kind of behaviour. And this brotherly rubbish he is talking about, ask him to keep it to himself.

By GEORGE-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Both Shree and Harbhajan are aggressive players. But since Harbhajan is still in the red zone due to his behavior against Aussies he should have kept his cool for his own sake. In short what ever is the case he should not have done this in public especially against his own team mate. He should be punished with a ban as a last warning. At the same time if Shree did something wrong he should also get a warning.

By sujay uchil-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Mr. Harbajan has let down the nation, all of us who steadfastly stood behind him during the Aus.tour. With what he did now, the Aus. sure feel vindicated and we feel cheated. This guy has a problem. Thank You BCCI for the ban, but let this be a good hard lesson.

By raj-Sunday, April 27, 2008
harbajan should be banned for a minimum period of 1 year. sreesant has all the right to sledge within the limit the game permits. to check that there are match refree and empires. harbajan has manhandled sreesant. he should be given harsh punishment.

By Rangam Rajkhowa-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Good decision. During recent Australia visit, he was given sufficient protection by BCCI and people of Indian as it was an issue of national prestige. Further protection will however bring bad image to the country. We need sportsman like him, but not such behaviour. Strong punishment is must if there is sufficient evidence.

By ABHIJIT-Sunday, April 27, 2008

By priya-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Such incidents are un acceptable even at gully level cricket.the nation stood behind him when he was disgraced in australia. Is this the way to show respect to the nation by assaulting a fellow team mate. He needs psychological consultation rather than punishment and must apologize to the cricketing fraternity

By santhosh kumar-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Dear Sir, The latest turn of events is highly unfortunate and un acceptable. If the BCCI wants to maintain it's decorum, it should take fair decisions against trouble boy harbajan. defending him again would set a wrong precedence and would be unhealthy for the future of indian cricket.

By suresh-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Harbhajan should have taken up boxing as his carrer ,since he would have got the same treatment which he gave to Shreesanth. Having siad this,Shreesanth should know how to behave in a cricket field,to avoid such things happpening to him.

By Dr Sanjay-Sunday, April 27, 2008
going by the past records of Bhajji,no punishments by the BCCI will be a surprise!he has never been a great match winner!

By SundarG-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Dear Mr. Bhajji, Hayden's remarks about Harbhajan as "Obnoxious Little Weed" turned out to be true. He should be banned for life. He is killing "The Spirit of the Game". He has taken things for granted as the BCCI has supported him to the maximum whenever he did commit serious offense. He should not be spared.

By michelle-Sunday, April 27, 2008
In Symonds affair, Harbhajan got away by saying he used a Punjabi swear word which sounded like monkey. I hope this time he does not say his action was the Punjabi way of showing affection for his opponent. The Australians must be laughing now!

By Biju-Sunday, April 27, 2008
This goes on to prove Harbhajjan is an "obnoxios little weed". He should be banned from cricket. I will make sure I will off my TV during any game he plays. We supported him with our hearts and souls during the problems in Australia Tour giving him the benefit of doubt. Now he has brought us this national shame !!

By Prakash Kalanjeri-Sunday, April 27, 2008
If he is indeed found guilty of misconduct, a life ban on playing in any form of the game is most appropriate. Nobody is above game. Getting physical and humiliating a fellow countryman in front of millions is savage behavior and pepetrators of such misconduct are better off in jungles/zoos. Sadly, our supposedly ancient culture is an all forgiving culture involving matters considering discipline/public-conduct and most likely Harbhajan will again get away with a light rap.

By angshu-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Just ban Harbhajan and Sreesanth from all forms of cricket for 3 to 5 years or for life. That should ensure discipline from all other current and future players. Sreesanth seems to be the victim in this incident. But we all know what kind of a maniac he is on the field.

By Sachin-Sunday, April 27, 2008
This is a pathetic example being set by Harbhajan to the kids(aspiring cricketers) following the game very closely. Im sorry to say that this event(DLF) championship could also create regionalism. As far as Harbjajan is concerned, a life ban should be imposed on him.He was lucky to have gotten off the hook in Australia. Thanks to the huge support he got from his team mates and people back home.Unless stern action is taken, no player would dare repeat this incident again

By Sriram Veeraraghavan-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Both Harbhajan and Sreesanth should be given forced break from Cricket. In fact they should be suspended for 2 and 1 year respectively as neither of them have behaved in a manner this game warrants. A stronger penalty for Harbhajan who has brought the game and his country to disrepute.

By pawan-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Bhajji is proving himself to be indian Shoaib Akhtar. It's a shame for indian cricket, a national team player (S.Sreesnath) crying and watched by millions. I would advocate a ban of atleast a year on Harbhajan Singh.

By D.N. Mazumder-Sunday, April 27, 2008
The ban is a face-saving eyewash by the authoriries to protect players whose similar behaviour has been protected & thereby endorsed by the whole country in recent past. In this era & state of cricket in India, a slap or two by an 'elder brother' can easily be pardoned & forgotten. The authorities will prove me wrong immediately but not in the long run. The whole country drew blood & the authorities threatened to spoil the game for protecting players who are neither gentelmen nor match-winners.

By Rajan Phanse-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Harbhajan should be dealt with very seriously so that a clear message is sent out to other players that you can't get away with flauntug of the rules and the spirit of the game, having said that even Srisanth should be hauled up he has this habbit of provoking and he has done this in the past and even to Sachin Tendulkar. I think both should be handed over a ban and let them know that they are not indepensible. They have bought disrepute to the game and to the country.

By sachin-Sunday, April 27, 2008
i believe that, harbhajan shouldn't have raised his hand, but he could have complained. sreeshan deserves that kind of a treatment for his filthy and pathetic attitude and behaviour on field in almost every match against almost every team he has played. anytime he is hit for big scores or he is unable to take wickets, he shows frustration. he is an unprofessioan cricketer. he is not at all a gentle man. He deserved this slap in front of the crowd.

By Satish-Sunday, April 27, 2008
How about action against Sreesanth? He is a disgrace to the game. He must have provoked Harbhajan. Descision to take action against Harbhajan should have been taken after a probe. What has Sreesanth told him? Must have danced like he did in South Africa!!

By milan-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Its high time BCCI takes stern action on Harbhajan. This isnt the first time that this obnoxious person has made us all shook our heads in shame...a life ban would just serve him right!

By PD-Sunday, April 27, 2008
What I do not understand is that why he (Harbhajan) has not already been booked by the cops for battery and assault? Such an act is a disgrace to the whole nation. He has disgraced each and every Indian. I think he should not only be banned but should also be severely punished for this unsportsman like act.

By nirmal-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Harbajan has done it again. Doing and saying wat he feels like due to pure arrogance and no respect for the game has become his motto. Hopefully this time they will put him in his place and teach him some decipline which his family forgot to teach him at home.

By jeegan-Sunday, April 27, 2008
There is no place in a play like this animal. Suspense is right decision. He should have punished long time back.

By deba ranjan sahoo-Sunday, April 27, 2008
I think , Bhajji should be banned from playing cricket at any level atleast for 1 yrear so that he learns and changes his attitude. This clearly shows he does not have an attitude to become a leader. This is highly outrageous and should not be condoned at any cost. This was not expected from him. After this incident,i think BCCI should not have come to Bhajji's rescue when he was involved in the spat with Andrew Symonds.

By Anthic-Sunday, April 27, 2008
It is yet another shocking and shameful incident, after what happened in the Sydney test.Yet again, Bhajji is at the center of it.It is imperative that the board take appropriate action .

By Jois-Sunday, April 27, 2008
It is sad to see BCCI is pussy footing on this issue. BCCI and Sachin went all the way to protect this fellow my ban in Australia, but he doesn't seem to learn from it. He is a disgrace to Indian cricket and our culture. In a way even Srisanth deserves the slap as even he behaves like an animal on the field. These younsters are spoiling the Indian cricket glory which was upheld these days by Sachin, Kumble, Dravid, Srinath, Vishy, Amarnath, Patudi, Chandra, Shastri's of the world.

By Sameer Mehta-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Excellent decision... And we sincerely hope that our MUMBAI INDIANS team management wakes up and throws Harbhajan out of our team. His evil actions and bad behavior while in Australia was unnecessarily supported by the Indian Media. We are disappointed that Sachin Tendulkar is not coming out and condemning his bad behavior that was caught on camera.

By rajiv chhabra-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Deputy Suppt. Police Mr.Harbhajan Singh should be banned for atleast one year.No mercy on this kind of behaviour. He ia really a bad guy and needs a slap from BCCI.

By Nikhila-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Harbhajan Singh has truly behaved like an 'obnoxious little weed'. Although Harbhajan's behaviour was unpardonable, Sreesanth also should not have provoked the Mumbai Indians. Both of them must be suitably and strictly punished.

By Arvind-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Grow Up Harbhajan,,, its good to know tht u did not answer Symonds aggression in the same fashion... May be his size intimidated you i am sure had u done would not be able to get back on your feet..... you have proved that you can never become a good team leader... Like Zidane you should be banned.....

By Siva-Sunday, April 27, 2008
I think its more than enough these guys are doing to the gentleman's game, especially Bhajji/Sree.. Bhajji should be penalized for his awkward against Sree. Not the least with Sree, he should behave like a Sports-person when he is on-ground. Nothing to add more,, its just UGLY.

By ashish-Sunday, April 27, 2008
bcci should not accept such behaviour, this is totally unacceptable.he should be banned for few matches. as a cricket fan we cannot accept it

By Baskaran-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Is he the only one having tensions? Guttzy, that he can escape everytime. Too ugly Hrabhajan!!! Change yourself, else, we fans will make you feel for it.

By S THIAGARAJAN-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Let us use the term "Sikh" in this matter. Sikhs r the saviours of our country. But as far as Bhajji is concerned, I love him for his Cricketing talents but country and its honour is more important thank his cricket and his talents. Factually, he has behaved like what Mathew Hayden had once remarked him as 'abnoxious weed'. He should be banned from IPL in toto and then only, he will rpent and realise what he has missed and lost.

By Manoj Brahmbhatt-Sunday, April 27, 2008
Harbhajan should be BAN for IPL.No mercy on this kind of behavior.

By Mats-Sunday, April 27, 2008
The support he got duirng the Australian series, and the subsequent wins, has gone to his head. He should be penalised, and so should Sreesanth for playing down the incident.

By p.rajesh-Saturday, April 26, 2008
Harbhajan must be banned for life for his cowardice behaviour on the field.Player who can't accept defeat must be shown the exit door ,Harbhajan has brought disgrace to the country. He must be banned for life in order to uphold the dignity of the gentleman's game...

By cricket_fan-Saturday, April 26, 2008
He might be a good player but he is emotionally unstable to play at highest levels. A guy who can't accept defeat graciously shouldn't be playing altogether. Someone should ask - Why does these sort of things happen with him only? His carrer should not be ruined due to this, but srict action still requires to be taken. Maybe a ban for 6 months to a year along with proper emotional coaching might help.

By kanwarjeet singh-Saturday, April 26, 2008
contd... What about the 4 wars we have fought - forgotten the Sikh soldiers contribution. Very typical of India and Indians - everything flows down to being communal. Fact is you have never accepted Sikhs as Indians. What happened to the support when Bhajji was demolishing Aus or SA or Eng - never saw you complain then - short dimwitted memory eh !!Grow up dude - its about Bhajji not the Sikhs. If he is at fault he should be penalised and fined but dont drag all Sikhs into this.

By Seema-Saturday, April 26, 2008
Harbhajan should be banned for life. He has degraded the game of cricket and he is a shame for our nation. He should never be allowed to take the field in his life.

By Prabhakar-Saturday, April 26, 2008
No matter Steeshath said to Bajji, this is a ridiculous behavior from the Mumbai Captain. I hate some people commented that 'Sikhs hand is strong'. How unfortunate is that to bring those kind of regional feelings even after witnessing Mentally retarded behavior from Bajji. It is a big lesson to Tendulkar and others who supported this stupid guy in Australia. He should be sent home permanently.

By vipul-Saturday, April 26, 2008
cricket is gentlemen's game than he should be penalised & suspended from the IPL.

By RAJESH-Saturday, April 26, 2008
With this incident, one thing is clear. at Sydney, Australians were right.

By Manu-Saturday, April 26, 2008
He should get at least one-year ban so that he will not even think of doing it again. In fact, such people should not be allowed to play at the highest level, they are only good for local matches.
