New Delhi:Gifts are still pouring in for India's T20 success. This time it was RP Singh's turn. NEO Sports felicitated the fast bowler, with a Mercedes for being India's highest wicket taker in South Africa.
Strange are the ways of Indian sport. While our hockey players refuse cash incentives because they're not treated fairly, the goodies keep pouring in for the cricketers.
This time it's well deserved though. RP Singh becoming the proud owner of a silver Mercedes Benz C class for his efforts at the Twenty20 World Cup.
"I have a SUV, but now I have a Mercedes, I'm happy about it," said RP Singh.
The lad from Rae Barelli was India's most successful bowler in South Africa.
He ended with 12 scalps, just one less than Umar Gul, the tournament's highest wicket taker and he's had a more than decent outing against the Australians and the Pakistanis at home with 11 wickets from 8 matches.
But before he proves his pedigree in the Test series, RP has a short while to enjoy his new set of wheels.
RP Singh got what even Umar Gul or Stuart Clark didn't get for their efforts at the Twenty20 World Cup. But before this snazzy vehicle heads to Rae Barelli, RP Singh will take his pals from the T20 World Cup for a ride.
