Mumbai: The Bombay High Court is scheduled to begin hearing the cricket telecast rights case today. ESPN-Star Sports has filed a petition saying that in awarding the cricket rights to Zee Telefilms, BCCI ignored the clause, which states that the channel bidding for the rights should have a minimum of two years "live" telecasting experience. ESPN-Star Sports alleged in their petition that Zee failed to meet this criteria. Last week, the court had asked Zee whether it was willing to go in for a fresh round of bidding, but Zee refused saying it preferred to fight the case in the court.
