Mumbai : The dates and venues of the four Tests against Australia and two against South Africa later this year would be announced soon. The announcement would be made after the BCCI's working committee meeting on July 18 and 19 at Delhi, a BCCI official said reacting to reports that the South African cricket board was still in the dark about the itinerary of their team's visit scheduled in November. The BCCI awards Test matches and One-Day Internationals to its various units by way of rotation. Earlier, it was done on a zonal basis, denying allocation of a Test or ODI to more than one centre from the same zone in the same series. It has been converted to an all-India basis by which there is no bar on more than one centre from the same zone from hosting Tests or ODIs in the same series. The matches against Australia and South Africa would be allocated on an all-India rotation basis at the working committee meeting. Media reports from South Africa had quoted Brian Basson, Manager of Cricket Affairs of the United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCBSA), that the board had not received any communication as yet regarding the itinerary from its Indian counterpart.
