Imagine going to a stadium to watch a T20 game on a Sunday evening. Electrifying cricket, big sixes and acrobatic fielding make it worth the money and time anyway. And then you end up winning some money, a lot of money. Unbelievable? Not if you are Bosman Puren.

Puren, a 35-year-old cricket enthusiast from Potchefstroom, won a million Rand (about Rs 54.8 lakh) after he caught a six with one hand during a televised Ram Slam T20 match between Chevrolet Knights and Highveld Lions. The competition was open for fans over 18 years of age.

So when Pite van Biljon of the Knights slammed the only six in his 29-ball 33, Puren was in position to pouch the ball one handed and make his big bucks and long after the match was over, he still could not believe his luck.

"The Ram Slam is a brilliant experience. I'm fortunate to have caught that one. I'm still flabbergasted. Thank you!," Puren said.

Puren is not taking the million Rands home all by himself, not yet. If other fans are able to achieve the same feat at any of the other televised games, the one million Rand will be split equally. Only if that fails to happen, Puren will be a million Rand richer!
