New Delhi:
Legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev today said it was time the Indian cricket board and International Cricket Council sorted out the issue of Mohammad Azharuddin, banned for life for his alleged involvement in match-fixing. "If I have the right to earn and if ICC has the right to earn, so does Azhar. Personally, I feel nobody should be banned from the game," Kapil told reporters today. ICC critical The former Indian captain was responding to ICC's statement on Sunday that it was extremely disappointed to see Azhar don the cricket commentator's role for a television network. "The issue of Azhar has dragged for long and it is time the BCCI and ICC sorted out this issue," said Kapil, who was also accused of match-fixing but exonerated later by BCCI. Azharuddin, who was slapped a life-ban in December, 2000 after a BCCI inquiry found him guilty of match-fixing, is fighting a court battle against the BCCI.
